Are you gifted and skilled in communications? Perhaps God would
have you invest your talents in helping to network your city.

COMMUNICATIONS CAN INCLUDE ANY ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Develop a team of volunteers for contacting key church and campus missions activists in your city (there could be a significant overlap between this team and the Perspectives Coordinating team).
  • If you are a Perspectives alumni, contribute your skills to the Perspectives web page for your city, keeping it filled with information, inspiration and vision casting for potential students, current students and alumni.
  • Oversee and edit the Missions Networking page for your city.
  • Pray for and keep you eye out for someone talented and available to take pictures and/or to create graphics for your city's networking page.
  • Post reports on mission-related news, networking progress, upcoming events, prayer needs & breakthroughs, etc.
  • Channel praise reports and prayer needs to the Citywide Mission Networking intercessors.

GETTING STARTED:

  • If you are a Perspectives alumni, contact your local PSP Coordinating Team Leader and let him or her know of your availability to assist with communications.
  • Click here to see if your city has an active mission network. If it does, give them a call or email to introduce yourself and to begin developing a relationship with them.
  • Offer to assist any existing communications, or to begin communications if networking is just getting started (this would likely include updating the Citywide Networking page for your city and possibly a "wiki" intranet for networking communications between network members).
  • Begin, or assist in the development of a team of volunteers for contacting the missions activists in your city's churches, campus ministries and mission agencies.
  • If there is no networking taking place in your city, and you would like to talk further about what steps you can take to see networking take place, feel free to contact Dave Imboden at 714-791-5029, or email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
